Disappearnce of Daniel Robinson

Daniel Robinson was born on January 14, 1997. Born without is lower right arm he had faced adversity, but he never let that stop him from chasing and achieving his dreams. Daniel graduated from the College of Charleston (SC) in 2017 achieving his goal of becoming a scientist. Daniel moved to Arizona as he found work as a hydrogeologist at Matrix New World. Daniel lived in Tempe, Arizona but Matrix New World was located in the West Valley of Arizona.

Daniel was last seen on June 23rd, 2021 around 9 in the morning at his job in Buckeye, Arizona. David, Daniel’s dad, began to be concerned when he had not heard from Daniel all day. David contacted the Buckeye Police Department at about 7pm MST. When contacted, the Buckeye P.D. sent out a ground search around the job site that continued until July 6th. The police discovered that Daniel was last seen by a employee leaving the job site instead of just arriving. According to employees that had talked to Daniel before his disappearance, he had talked about going to Phoenix, Arizona to “rest” and to meet a girl he had fallen in love with. David had never heard of this mysterious girl or his son’s desire to go over 40 miles away to Phoenix. These reports remain unverified.

After multiple aerial and ground searches Daniel’s 2017 Jeep Renegade was found in a ravine around three miles away from the job site. The vehicle was still in drive and was proven to had been drive three times since June 23rd and the time of the crash. The car was laying on its right side with the driver’s seat window broken, damage to front of the car and part of the roof missing.

Investigators found no blood in or around the car but found other evidence adding another layer of confusion to the case. Water, clothes, and Daniel’s phone, keys, work computer, and wallet were found inside. The water was full but his wallet had no cash. According to the Buckeye P.D., there were no signs that Daniel had spent anytime there after the crash. State and local investigators still have the case open but consider no foul play was involved.

Daniel’s dad has been on the search for his son ever since and has a differing opinion than the local investigators. According to David, private investigators expect foul play to be involved with Daniel’s disappearance. The private investigators noticed certain facts surrounding Daniel’s Jeep that lead to believe that law enforcement had overlooked his disappearance.

The Jeep had been driven an additional 11 miles after the airbags deployed and had the engine had been cycles around 40 times after the crash. Although, the Buckeye P.D. noted that these discrepancies are not unusual and should not be the lead cause of suspecting foul play.

Whether or not Daniel was in the car when it was abandoned in the ravine remains unknown, as do his whereabouts. His family continues to search for him to this day and have created multiple resources for the public to aid in the search.

With David’s searches he has also found multiple different human remains, that have brought closure to families of other missing people. He remains hopeful that Daniel will be found and is happy that his tragedy has brought about some good.
